If you are flat footed, can you still join the U.S. Armed forces?
can you still join the Navy, Marines, Army, Air Force, special forces if you are flat footed? I have needed orthotics in my shoes my whole life(I am only 14 right now) and I was wondering if you can still join. My brother sais that they wouldn't let you cus flat footed people might complain about hurting feet because you can't wear orthotics in boots
I think my feat are fine cus Ive played soccer my whole life with cleats, football now and not having orthodics isn't bothering me, ive hiked many miles in Colorado and Wyoming wildernesses with heavy backpacks, go on many runs without orthodics, know how to field strip an m16, my favorite thing is airsofting, Ive been hunting, am the top 3 strongest people in my grade. Would they turn that down because they think I might complain about my feet?
When you enlist you will go to the local MEPS and get a physical. If you pass the Duck Walk which is the only one that is seriously effected by flat feet, you are qualified.
