Difference between a turbo shaft, turbo jet, a turbo fan, turbo booster .....?
Please someone may explain the difference between a turbo shaft, turbo propeller, Turbo Jet and a turbo fan ...... Angina
The differences lie in how engines produce thrust or power. Turbo produce a faster push air through the base engine and exhaust. All air entering the engine passes through the engine. It moves a small volume of air at high speeds. Jet engines produce thrust primarily by driving a big fan in front of the engine. Most of the air passing through the fan rotates around the core engine, with only one small amount of momentum created by the air exiting the exhaust. The fan moves a volume of air at lower speed that the air leaving the exhaust. Turbopropulsores to produce thrust driving a propeller. Little or no thrust is derived from the exhaust engines. The propeller is in line with the core engine and the propeller creates thrust of how he does it. Turbo engines produce energy (often in the form of thrust) to conduct a tree, generally giving power to a gear in the plane / boat / device that is powered (the gearbox is not part of the machine itself), including more powers than a (propeller helicopter rotor, generator, etc..)
