Marine Corps Reserve GI Bill question?

I am enlisted in The Marine Corps reserves, and leave for boot camp on July 27th. I have heard that you have to wait 2 years after you're out of boot camp to use the GI Bill benefits. Is that correct? How much do you get from the GI Bill as well, since I am going to be in the reserves, and not active duty.

Just wondering because I am trying to decide if i should stay in the reserves once im done with training and go to college, or go active duty.

Note: I first signed up for reserve duty, then decided I wanted to go active duty, My recruiter said I have to wait until someone takes my Reserve spot before i can be transferred over to Active duty, and no one has so far, so I'm going in as a Reservist
