capacitor (s) of my accent LED lights?

I have a few STRIP LED lights installed on my boat for accent lighting. They are powered by my stereo head unit so you can enable / disable remotely. The problem is that when the stereo is dark, when cheap shots. I have a 1.2 Farad CAP to the amp, but adding a small capacitor of each LED lamps help naked? I try to run a relay LED strips.
